Description

So, a while back, I found someone selling a big bag of random Lego, like 4000 parts for $90.  Good deal, so I grabbed it.  It was all really old parts, stuff from the 90's mostly.  Which of course is totally fine with me, because for me, the 90's was like the golden age of Lego.  So, I started building.  There was a good assortment of parts, castle, space, city, airplane, car, submarine, and of course basic bricks.  So, I built a good assortment of things.  Most, not quite all, of the parts used above were from that bag.
The first thing I made was the little yellow forklift in the middle, because there was a forklifty piece, so I used it.  Next was the 8-wheeler in the top right, which was mostly an exercise in using up the massive quantities of wheels I have floating around.  It uses four of those old wheel mounts with the spring suspension, which is a lot of fun.  Then I made a little red pickup truck, which was later dismantled because it sucked and I needed the parts. (not pictured)
Next was the rocket in the back there, a microscale model built upon realizing "Hey, I don't have one of those yet.", and with it was the funky black spaceship in front of it, which is at a different microscale, and supposedly folds up and fits into the top of the rocket.
The two racecars on the left are actually from an old set that I realized I had most of the parts for, and was able to put back together.  There was a road plate with a starting line and all that, but that was missing, so.. cars.  brickset.com/sets/6551-1/Check…
The yellow truck with the six-wheeled trailer (again, an exercise in using up excessive wheels) were built to carry ...something.  You'll get to find out more about that when I post pics of the thing they carry.  ;P
In the bottom right, that was again the result of "What the heck am I supposed to do with all these wheels??"  Wagon wheels, in this case.  So I put them on a frame, stuck a cannon in the middle, and then a pretend steam engine on the back.  And on top, a random knight, his flag, and some camo branches.  That way, the enemy will see nothing but a moving bush with a bright red flag sticking out the top, and a cannon sticking out the front, and they'll say "I say, look at that strange bush!"  "Indeed.  It must be a teenager bush.  You know how those are, these days.  It obviously just wants attention, so pretend you don't see it."  Also of note, one of the parts in the bag was an old motorcycle chassis, which came in two pieces that fit together with a cross axle.  Unfortunately, the axle bit had snapped off inside the other piece, and made it mostly useless.  I managed to use the back of the motorcycle as the seat for the knight.
Finally, the airplane.  Once again, inspired by a certain part.  This one was of course the tail rudder.  Only the propellers and a couple smooth tiles weren't from the bag, so it counts.  The thing's a little back heavy, but there were only so many inverted slope parts for the bottom, so I couldn't make it any longer.

EDIT: Apparently, all those airplane parts worked together for a reason.  brickset.com/sets/6375-1/Trans…
