T-8C Cavalier

Description

I finally built a tank that actually looks like a real tank!

The T-8C Cavalier is in many ways an upgrade, and in some ways perhaps a downgrade from previous tank models.  The dual tracks (instead of quad) make it more maneuverable and much faster, as well as easier to maintain.  Heavy, angled armor give it an impressive frontal resistance, and a high ground clearance is a clear improvement over previous low-riding models.  The armament was reduced from two cannons to one, but the size, power and range of the cannon was greatly increased to compensate.
It features a nose-mounted anti-vehicle machine gun for taking out lightly armored vehicles, and a topside anti-infantry turret, automated to track and eliminate enemy targets.  The main 128mm cannon fires at 7.5 rounds per minute, with a maximum accurate range of 1.1km

The model went through a few variations before I was happy with it (hence the C in the name).  The first one unexpectedly had a ground clearance of -1mm, so.. it needed work.  The next version had an attempted suspension mechanism that kept locking up and rendering the tank immobile, so that had to be changed.  Now I'm fairly happy with it though.  The only real 'problem' with it, is that the only way in or out is to climb right over the engine block.  Perhaps a detriment in an emergency, but I couldn't figure out a way to make the hatch on top actually connect to the main cabin.  Imagination will have to fill that one in.
The hardest part was coming up with a good name, to be honest.  I'm always really picky about that kind of thing.  Cavalier sounded appropriate though.
It was inspired mostly by the Panzer III/IV, which is my favorite tank to use in World of Tanks.  Also a little by the Sherman E8.

PANZER VOR! Stempfen Sie unter unseren Ketten!

Very nice! Also, not that this is a bad thing, but it's HUGE! :noes: That's what, like 15 bricks high? It's fully twice as tall as my mirage tank! But, an actual interior is something all of my tanks lack, so congrats my good sir, you've won that bit of the little arms race we've been on :XD: Also, interesting choice going with front drive instead of rear drive. Also I like how you did the mountings for the roadwheels :D I can't wait for the other angles and interior shots!

Also, happy birthday man!
